Kenya’s Faki Amina Martha (right) lost to Russia’s Tazabekova Karina in the ongoing World Women Boxing Championships in Nis, Serbia [BFK]

Three more Kenya female boxers are out of the ongoing World Women Boxing Championships in Nis, Serbia.

It was a disappointing feat for bantamweight Amina Martha, light welterweight Cynthia Mwai and welterweight Friza Anyango, the three boxers whom Kenyans had banked their high hopes on after an earlier defeat of lightweight Emily Juma.

Juma had earlier been beaten by experienced Jedinakova Miroslava of Slovakia.

On her part, Martha was beaten on a unanimous points decision by Russia’s Karina Tazabekova to open doors for another loss by Mwai.

Mwai was stopped in less than 30 seconds of the second round by Mexico’s Gonzalez Hernandez from a Referee Stop the Contest (RSC) rule.

And on her part, welterweight Friza Anyango also lost on a unanimous points decision to Slovakia’s Tamara Kubalova.

So far, a total of 13 African boxers have been eliminated from the 14th edition of the ongoing World Women’s Boxing Championships.
