Kenya Prisons knocked out of Africa Women’s Volleyball Club Championship

Kenya Prisons Women’s Volleyball Club has been bundled out of the ongoing Africa Women’s Volleyball Club Championship after losing by three sets to one  to Al Ahly during their quarter final match played Wednesday at Mashood Abiola Indoor Arena in Abuja,Nigeria.

Al Ahly never looked back after a blistering start where they won the first set 25-20.

Prisons gunning for their first continental title since 2013 fought back in the second set but lost 25-20 but won the third set 25-22.

Al Ahly wrapped up their win with a 27-25 third set win to advance to the semi finals of the championship that has brought together 16 clubs.

Kenya’s other representatives in the competition Kenya Pipeline and KCB are set to face Rwanda’s APR and Egypt’s Zamalek respectively in their quarter final matches scheduled tonight.
