Over 180 players have enlisted for the sixth leg of  NCBA golf series which will be held this Saturday at the par -73 Nakuru Golf Club.

At stake will be the slots at the series grand finale scheduled later in the year.

The sixth round follows preceding rounds at : VetLab Sports Club, Nandi Bears Club, Malindi Golf Club, and Kenya Railway Golf Club.

At the Nakuru event six outstanding players will qualify for the 2025 NCBA Golf Series Grand Finale. These will include the Overall Men’s Gross Winner, Overall Ladies’ Gross Winner, Division 2 Men’s and Ladies’ Winners, the Overall Division 3 Winner, and the Junior Winner.

Speaking ahead of the tournament, NCBA Group Managing Director John Gachora was ecstatic about the Nakuru leg.

“We are truly excited to be back in Nakuru for what promises to be another fantastic leg of the NCBA Golf Series. Nakuru Golf Club holds a special place in our journey, not only because of its rich history and breathtaking scenery but also because of the warm reception we’ve always received from the local golfing community.”

“This course is known to challenge even the most seasoned golfers, and that’s exactly what makes it such a thrilling venue. We’re expecting a great display of talent, passion, and sportsmanship. Beyond the competition, this event is also about strengthening the relationships we’ve built with our customers and partners across the Rift Valley region. We’re grateful for the continued support and look forward to spending time with the Nakuru community this weekend.”

On his part, Nakuru Golf Club Captain Eng. Michael Mululu affirmed the club’s readiness to host the tournament, noting the significance of such events in developing local golfing talent:

“We are honoured to host this leg of the NCBA Golf Series, and I can confidently say we are fully prepared to welcome the players and guests. Our course is in great condition, and we’ve worked hard to ensure the entire experience enjoyable for all.”

“Tournaments like these are important in nurturing the sport, especially for our junior and amateur golfers who get a rare opportunity to compete at a high level. We truly appreciate NCBA’s commitment to growing the game across the country, and we’re proud to be part of this journey.”
