Public Service, Human Capital
Development and Special projects cabinet secretary nominee, Geoffrey Ruku has said that he is worth
Sh377 million.

and buildings, sacco and savings, shares and vehicles.
“Lands and buildings Sh40 million, family residence Sh60 million,
Sacco and savings Sh15 million, Shares from private company Sh250 million, Motor
vehicles about Sh12 million, a total of Sh377 million,” he said.
It is standard procedure for CS nominees to declare their
worth during vetting by the Committee on Appointments chaired by Speaker Moses
Wetang’ula.
President William Ruto nominated Ruku as the Cabinet
Secretary for Public Service, Human Capital Development and Special
Programmes on March 26, 2025.
If approved, he will replace Justin Muturi, who was dismissed.
The 45-year-old won the parliamentary seat on the DP ticket
in the 2022 general election after garnering 17, 069 votes to beat three other
candidates in the race.
The lawmaker, a key ally of President Ruto, made the first
parliamentary attempt in 2013 but lost to Muriuki Njagagua.
In 2017, he gave politics another stab, this time on the
Jubilee party ticket for the Embu Senate, but again lost this time round to
Njeru Ndigwa.
During vetting, Ruku vowed to streamline the Public Service
sector, especially on the issue of employment.
He said that he will make sure the face of Kenya is
reflected in all public appointments as envisioned in the Constitution of
Kenya, 2010.
Ruku said that he will serve the country without fear or
favour, should he be approved for the position.
