Popular TikToker Nyako has slammed Prince Indah’s traditional wedding look, suggesting it lacked flair and creativity.

Taking to TikTok Live on her page, Nyako didn’t hold back as she critiqued the fashion choices seen at the grand event, going as far as to say the designer deserved the sack.

“The wedding itself was beautiful, but whoever came up with and stitched those outfits should be fired immediately,” she declared.

This fiery commentary followed the luxurious traditional ceremony known as Nyombo, held on Sunday, April 13, in Migori, where Prince Indah tied the knot with his long-time partner Winnie Nyamigori.

The couple went all out, with the groom and his groomsmen rocking elegant Nigerian-inspired outfits. Indah himself wore an all-white ensemble, adorned with traditional Nigerian beads and crowned with a gold Fila Gobi hat.

Meanwhile, the bride looked stunning in a gold and white gown.

Nyako was unimpressed, insisting Indah should have flown to Nigeria to get authentic attire instead of relying on a local designer who, in her opinion, didn’t deliver. She especially took issue with the beaded design, which she said looked like a cross.

“Prince Indah should’ve just gone to Nigeria and bought proper outfits and beads. Now Bolo has sewn something that looks like a cross and calls it Nigerian beads. I honestly thought Indah was a Catholic priest,” Nyako said in Kiswahili.

The outfits were designed by Bolo Bespoke and his wife, Mueni.

From stylish agbadas to smart Kitenge suits and flowing gowns, the entire celebration is said to have cost around Ksh 2 million.

However, according to Nyako, the money could have been better spent elsewhere. In her Live session, she said the money used on the lavish outfits and decorations would have been better spent on a trip to France.

She reflected on how Luos often splurge without proper planning, using herself as an example.

“Luos like to live large, but this wedding was just confusing. It was so over the top that it lost its meaning. That’s how people waste money, no planning. I did the same with my TikTok earnings, living in fancy hotels instead of saving. This is how Luos behave when they get money, I’m guilty too. Prince Indah should’ve used that money and gone to France instead. It wouldn’t have ended like this,” she said.

She went on to say that the only person who looked appropriately dressed was prominent lawyer and politician James Orengo, who showed up in a smart black and white tribal shirt paired with black trousers.

“The only well-dressed person there was James Orengo. That’s my honest review of Prince Indah’s wedding,” she concluded.

Nyako’s bold remarks have sparked a whirlwind of reactions online. Comedian Terence Creative cheekily clapped back: “We’ll wait for your wedding, where you’ll wear a dera and mavins – this is what they wanted.”

One Instagram user said, “This is pure jealousy.”

Another added with a laugh, “I can already hear the voice of poverty.”
