Karangu Muraya has finaly extended a grand gesture to his first wife, Triza Njeri. He recently upgraded Triza’s car from a modest Mazda Demio to a sleek Nissan X-Trail, a vehicle that rivals the Toyota Harrier driven by his second wife, Carol Kim.
The upgrade, however, came with a condition, “Baba watoto aheshimiwe” (the father of the children must be respected).
Taking to Facebook, Karangu shared photos of the new Nissan X-Trail, “I am a listening husband….I had to upgrade, it’s from Demio to a big machine…. sasa ufanye job kabisa na Baba watoto aheshimiwe.”
The two have had a push and pull over their union with many assuming their marriage was shaky.
Early this year, Triza took to social media to air her grievances.
In an emotional TikTok Live session, Triza accused Karangu of neglecting her and their children, while favoring his second wife, Carol Kim.
A significant point of contention was the disparity in the cars gifted to the two wives. Triza revealed that Karangu had purchased a Toyota Harrier for Carol, while she was left with a Mazda Demio, which she felt was inadequate.
She also accused Karangu of abandoning her in their rural home in Gatundu while he lived with Carol and their children in Nairobi.
However, a few months later Karangu made a surprise appearance at Triza’s album launch at Blue Springs Hotel.
The event marked their first public interaction since the fallout, and it was nothing short of emotional. Triza, a budding gospel artist, was joined on stage by Karangu and their children.
Karangu further demonstrated his support by donating Sh 200,000 to Triza’s music career.
The recent car upgrade appears to be Karangu’s latest effort to address Triza’s grievances and restore balance in their marriage.
