Former NTV journalist Smriti Vidyarthi has landed a new job
months after leaving the Nation Media Group station.
In a video announcement, Smriti said that she has now joined
global organization The Nature Conservancy (TNC).
She will take the role of executive communications officer
for Africa at TNC.
“I’m turning the mic and lens to nature. I’m excited to
announce that I’ve joined The Nature Conservancy (TNC), a global conservation
organization whose mission is to conserve the lands and waters on which all
life depends.
“TNC offers a powerful platform for change, and as
TNC’s executive communications officer for Africa, I can’t wait to tell our
stories as we conserve our precious landscapes and oceans for people and nature,”
Smriti said.
The Nature Conservancy is a global environmental
organization headquartered in Arlington, Virginia, United States.
As of 2021, it works via affiliates or branches in 79
countries and territories, as well as across every state in the US.
The announcement comes about three months after she
announced her TV exit.
The Seasoned TV presenter left Nation Media Group after
16-and-a-half years of service on NTV prime time news programme.
Smriti hosted NTV Weekend Edition, NTV
Tonight and NTV Wild Talk.
“Sixteen-and-a-half years of service to the Nation Media
Group and to the nation at large. Thank you for trusting me. For now, tune in
tonight at 9pm for my last bulletin on NTV,” she wrote.
