Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Nairobi West Branch has entered into a strategic partnership with Luton Hospital.

The deal unveiled on Saturday will see the hospital offer comprehensive medical services to clubs participating in its lower league competitions.

This partnership marks a major milestone in the branch’s commitment to promoting player welfare and enhancing the standards of grassroots football.

Through this collaboration, Luton Hospital will provide participating clubs with access to affordable and high-quality medical services, including injury assessments, first aid training, physical therapy, and health screenings.

Speaking during the event yesterday, FKF president Hussein Mohammed said that it was a milestone for good things to come in the improvement of grassroots football.

Nairobi West FKF Branch chairman Bernard Omondi welcomed the partnership as a timely intervention that will improve the safety and health of players at the grassroots level.

“This agreement with Luton Hospital is a win for our clubs and players. For a long time, our teams have struggled to access reliable medical care during training and matches. With this partnership, we are not only prioritising the health of our players but also creating a more professional and secure football environment,” he said.

On his part, Luton Hospital’s Director Albert Mandela affirmed the hospital’s commitment to supporting local sports and youth development.

“We believe that sports and healthcare go hand in hand. By supporting the FKF Nairobi West Branch, we are playing our part in ensuring that talented athletes at the grassroots receive the care they need to thrive. Our doors are open to all registered clubs under this initiative,” he stated.
