Racheal Otuoma, the widow of late Kenyan footballer Ezekiel Otuoma, has set social media abuzz after publicly revealing her new romantic relationship during a heartfelt TikTok livestream.

Her emotional declaration of love for a man identified as Jabilo has triggered a wave of mixed reactions online, with some celebrating her courage and others questioning the timing.

During the now-viral TikTok session, Racheal appeared visibly emotional as she addressed her audience with raw honesty.

“Thank you for understanding. I love this man very much, and he understands that I need to heal. Jabilo, thank you for walking with me on this journey; thank you for making me happy. Thank you for everything. I want to appreciate my man; I love him so much,” she said jubilantly.

The confession comes just months after the death of her husband, Ezekiel Otuoma, who succumbed to motor neuron disease on December 20, 2024, a date that painfully coincided with Racheal’s birthday.

The couple had been married for nine years, and Racheal had served as Ezekiel’s primary caregiver throughout his four-year battle with the degenerative disease.

Their deeply personal journey was shared publicly and resonated with thousands of Kenyans who followed Racheal’s updates online.

Many admired her unwavering devotion, especially in a society where caregiving under such circumstances can be isolating and emotionally taxing.

Racheal’s candid admission of finding love again stirred both support and criticism online.

Some argue that it’s too soon, while others believe she deserves happiness after years of sacrifice and heartbreak.

The revelation also comes after she had previously denied romantic ties to another man known as Menace, insisting their connection was purely platonic.

The confirmation of her relationship with Jabilo now marks a new, public chapter in her life.

Despite the uproar, Racheal has not officially confirmed her relationship in a formal statement beyond the livestream.

The news quickly spread across platforms, sparking intense debate. While a section of the public raised eyebrows, a significant number of users applauded Racheal for choosing happiness and healing:

@prettysoul: “Congratulations cousin!”

@ndindabackup: “Jabilo we love as a team Nyakabondo. If she’s happy, we are happy too.”

@stella#: “I’m happy for you Racheal.”
