Popular content creator Nasra has dramatically stepped down from her vice-chairperson role at the newly-formed Digital Content Creators Association of Kenya (DCCAK), and the internet is buzzing with questions.
But there is absolutely no bad blood between the former colleagues, according to Director Trevor, the association’s CEO, who’s handling the unexpected departure with nothing but grace.
Taking to Instagram Director Trevor served up a masterclass in professional farewell messages.
His post radiated genuine warmth as he celebrated Nasra’s contributions, despite her brief stint at the organisation.
We wish you great success in your next chapter,” Trevor wrote, his words carrying the weight of sincere appreciation. “Always remember, this will always be your home, and we will forever hold you in the highest regard for being a pioneer of this great association. Your contributions will never be forgotten.”
But what really has fans talking is Nasra’s deeply personal explanation for her departure. In a candid statement, she opened up about the internal struggle behind her decision.
“This has not been an easy decision, but it was one I made after deep personal reflection,” she shared, her vulnerability shining through every word. “Sometimes, alignment and conviction are more important than titles and positions.”
In an industry where many creators would cling to prestigious positions regardless of personal cost, she chose a different path.
“I believe in serving from a place of peace, purpose and authenticity,” she continued, “and right now stepping back feels like the most honest thing to do.”
Despite the departure, Nasra made sure to acknowledge the support she received during her brief tenure. Her appreciation for her fans’ encouragement was evident as she promised to continue advocating for creatives “in other meaningful ways.”
“I’m grateful for the support many of you showed me during my appointment. That encouragement never went unnoticed, and I carry it with me as I continue to advocate for creatives,” she added, proving that even in departure, she is thinking about her community.
