DJ Khaled is about to drop what could be the most legendary dancehall collaboration of the decade.
His upcoming single “You Remind Me” brings together a powerhouse lineup: Vybz Kartel, Bounty Killer, Buju Banton, and Mavado.

This marks the first public reunion of Vybz Kartel and Mavado since Kartel’s release from prison in 2024.

“You Remind Me” will feature on DJ Khaled’s 14th studio album, Aalam of God, set for release later this year. The album is rumored to include additional features from global megastars like Drake, Rihanna, and Jay-Z.
“This is not my last album; it’s my Black Album,” Khaled said in a recent press release, hinting that Aalam of God is one of his most personal and creatively charged projects to date.
Perhaps the most electrifying aspect of the upcoming single is the reconciliation of Kartel and Mavado. Their once-explosive feud rocked the dancehall world, even spilling into real life with schoolyard clashes and public unrest. But as Kartel revealed in a past interview on The Breakfast Club, much of their lyrical warfare was strategic.
“In hindsight, I’m glad we had that fight,” Kartel admitted. “It made us big. It took dancehall global places like Africa. Clashing is good… but eventually, we decided to be strategic.”
He added, “He’d say, ‘I dropped a song, why didn’t you answer?’ I’d be like, ‘I didn’t hear it.’ Then I’d drop one, and he’d reply. It was all chess.”
Now, the war is officially over, and the unity is undeniable. With four legends uniting on one track, “You Remind Me” is shaping up to be more than just a song. It’s a defining moment in music history.
