TikToker Arnold Malcolm has introduced a new track titled “Risasi Ya Mguu” in response to the President’s controversial directive to police officers.

Released on July 10, 2025, just a few hours after the President urged police to “shoot the leg ” of protesters involved in vandalism, Malcolm took to the streets responding in the most iconic Gen Z way, with sharp satire and powerful sound.

In his signature move the content creator sang a snippet of the track from behind the wheel of his famous lorry transforming Ruto’s “shoot the leg” remarks into a viral hook.

Chanting “Risasi ya mguu, risasi ya mguu ….” Over an undeniably catchy beat, he had a hit in the making.

The song’s official audio track has been released on YouTube, Kenyans swarmed the comment section with reactions that ragged from witty, angry and downright hilarious.

This isn’t the first time Ruto’s soundbites have been flipped into viral memes or musical moments. From “Zakayo” to “Wantam” (One Term) and even “Wheeliam,” Gen Z has perfected the craft of remixing political rhetoric into catchy cultural anthems often to the frustration of government supporters.

But Risasi Ya Mguu hits differently. It’s not just humorous it’s sharp and loaded with meaning.

It’s a protest anthem disguised as a parody, a beat born from brutality.

Amid growing outrage over police violence, abductions, and killings during youth-led demonstrations, Malcolm’s song has evolved into something deeper than content it’s a form of resistance.

As the country debates whether the president’s words were a blunder or an intentional show of force, TikTok isn’t waiting around. The platform has spoken Risasi ya mguu is already on heavy rotation.
