Former presidential candidate Professor George Luchiri Wajackoyah has added another academic feather to his cap after graduating with a second PhD, this time in Criminal Justice from Walden University in Orlando, Florida.

The achievement adds to the 15 academic degrees he claimed to have during the 2022 general election.

Sharing the news on his X page, Proffessor Wajackoyah posted a video of the graduation ceremony, writing, “Today I celebrate the completion of my PhD in Law and Public Policy, a journey of purpose, persistence, and passion. This victory is ours.”

In the video, he is seen donning graduation attire and bowing as he is hooded—a symbolic gesture signifying his new academic qualification.

The post quickly went viral, drawing congratulations from many Kenyans who praised his relentless pursuit of education.

Prof Wajackoyah is widely known for his unconventional and humorous approach to politics.

During the 2022 presidential campaign, he gained attention with a series of eyebrow-raising proposals, the most notable being the legalization of marijuana.

He argued that exporting cannabis could help offset Kenya’s national debt, a suggestion that sparked widespread debate, jokes, and memes, with many dubbing it the birth of a “ganja economy.”

Other controversial ideas included promoting snake farming to harvest venom for medical purposes, exporting dog meat, which he claimed fetched more than goat meat in certain countries, and even trading hyena testicles for their supposed medicinal value.

These proposals sparked mixed reactions, with some viewing them as outlandish, while others saw them as bold attempts to think outside the box.

Despite the public skepticism, Dr. Wajackoyah maintained that his suggestions were genuine efforts to address Kenya’s economic woes.

His distinctive personality and eccentric ideas earned him a loyal following, particularly among the youth.
