Paris-based musician Isacco has been nominated for Best New Artiste of the Year at the 2025 Ghana Music Awards Europe (GMAEU), set to take place in Brussels, Belgium.
The Rwandan-born, Kenyan-raised singer took to social media to celebrate the recognition and rally support from fans.
“Kenya is like my second home as I grew up here and it shaped me to who I am today. I count on all of you—vote for me, and let’s bring this trophy home together!” he said.
This latest nomination places Isacco on track to secure his sixth career award, further cementing his place in the African diaspora music scene.
He was previously named Best Artist in the Diaspora in 2022 and Best African Artist in the Diaspora in 2023, among other accolades.
Beyond the spotlight, Isacco is deeply committed to faith and service. For over a decade, he has volunteered at the annual Diocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes in France, offering hands-on care to vulnerable pilgrims—including meal support, dressing, and emotional care.
In 2022, he even canceled performances to continue his service.
“What I find in Lourdes is a different kind of light, one that shines through people, not stages,” he reflected. “Serving the most vulnerable brings a wealth of purpose, grounding me in faith and what truly matters.”
Voting for the GMAEU is currently open via the official website.
