Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua is making waves in the United States, where he is receiving a reception fit for a head of state.
From high-end vehicles, chase cars, clear roads, and detailed security, you name it, all.
On the convoy, some of the chase cars included Chevrolet, Jeeps, Toyota and a Jeep Grand Cherokee
The DCP leader is currently on a tour in the US, accompanied by his spouse, Pastor Dorcas Rigathi, among other DCP members.
These types of cars are often used in motorcades and security convoys due to their power, size, and comfort.
When he arrived in Boston, the former DP was seen alighting from a Chevrolet as he was received by leaders.
He was seen with a detailed security detail who rode in US-based police cars, marked ‘Police,’ as part of his escort.
Gachagua’s warm reception and high-end treatment during his tour have been the talk of the town in Kenya.
Gachagua is on his first foreign trip since his ouster last October. He is seeking to woo the Kenyan diaspora ahead of the 2027 elections.
The Democracy for Citizens Party (DCP) leader is visiting several cities in the United States of America between July and August.
The former DP has also continued with efforts to expand his new party in the diaspora after he opened a second satellite office in Boston on Sunday.
He noted that the party was founded on the principles of listening to the people of Kenya and that resolve remains.
Gachagua said for many years, the pleas of Kenyans have gone unheard even as he promised to go over and above to listen to the people.
“Today, in Boston, we opened our second satellite office in the USA to serve Kenyans in America. No Kenyan will be left behind in our leadership. Thank you, Boston,” Gachagua wrote on Facebook.
He is also holding town hall meetings with Kenyans living in the US and attending social gatherings to promote his agenda to the diaspora community.
“This is a major tour for the DCP leader and former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua; he is connecting with Kenyans in the US and seeking input from all segments of the diaspora,” said a source familiar with the trip.
“There are numerous events planned across several US cities, including concerts featuring Kenyan artists living in the US.”
