Arbantone artiste VJ Patelo’s wedding has stirred a social media frenzy, after energetic entourage of Nairobi youths turning the high-end event into a vibrant display of street culture and loyalty.
Clad in crisp black suits, white tuxedo shirts, bow ties, and, in true Nairobi style, trendy sneakers and caps.
Patelo’s boys rolled into the venue in a sleek black limousine, joking and sipping drinks as they hyped up the special occasion.
Their street swag clashed and blended seamlessly with the lavish surroundings, creating a wedding vibe that was anything but traditional.
At the venue, guests were treated to a splash of streetwear fashion, flashy knock-offs, bold accessories, and even bolder street lingo.
A viral video captured the moment a young man, full of grit and Nairobi wit, declared:
“Rada ya vijana ni umoja. Sura mbaya lakini roho safi.”
(“The code among young people is unity. Ugly face, pure heart.”)
Another chimed in with a heartfelt observation about unity and support:

The groomsmen, known online as wepesi, erupted in applause as Patelo and his bride took their seats.
