Kenyan musician Bien-Aimé Baraza has canceled the Tanzanian leg of his highly anticipated Alusa Continua tour, which was set to hit Arusha, Dar es Salaam, and Mwanza in August.

The unexpected change comes as a disappointment to fans across Tanzania who had been eagerly awaiting his performances.

In a heartfelt statement shared on social media, Bien expressed deep regret over the decision, attributing the postponement to “unforeseen challenges with the local event organizers.”

“We were truly looking forward to bringing the Alusa Continua tour to Arusha, Dar es Salaam, and Mwanza this August,” Bien shared.

“Unfortunately, due to unforeseen challenges with the local event organizers who have been unresponsive despite our consistent efforts to coordinate and move plans forward we regret to inform you that we must postpone the Tanzanian leg of the tour.”

While the announcement has stirred disappointment among fans, Bien emphasised that the decision was not taken lightly.

“Tanzania holds a special place in Bien’s heart, and it deeply saddens us to delay this moment of music, joy, and connection,” the statement continued. “We understand how disappointing this news may be, and we sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused.”

The Alusa Continua tour, launched earlier this year, has gained popularity for its soulful blend of Afrobeat, R&B, and acoustic storytelling, a new chapter for Bien after his time with celebrated Kenyan band Sauti Sol.

The Tanzanian concerts were highly anticipated, especially in cities like Dar es Salaam where his music has a strong following.

Despite the setback, Bien’s team assured fans that this is not a cancellation but a temporary pause. “Please know this is just a pause. We remain hopeful and committed to making it to Tanzania soon, and when we do, it will be with nothing but unforgettable vibes.”

Bien closed his statement with gratitude, saying the love and support from Tanzanian fans remains close to his heart. With a promise of returning soon,
