Tanzanian music superstar Diamond Platnumz has made a startling revelation: he helps raise children who aren’t biologically his in a bid to avoid conflict with their mothers.
Speaking in a candid interview, the “Jeje” hitmaker said fatherhood, for him, is more about responsibility than DNA.
“First of all, I know I do have kids, but I also know that some are not my kids,” he admitted. “I don’t want to argue with the mother and all that, but I take care of all of them.”
When pressed on how many children he has, Diamond’s answer was as fluid as his easy laugh. “Four or five—no, four or five or six,” he chuckled. “I really try my level best to make sure I take good care of them.”
The Bongo Flava star revealed that curiosity once pushed him to take a DNA test in Tanzania, but he already suspected the outcome. Still, he insists his focus is on keeping the peace.
“Me, I’m very cool with all my baby mamas. They love me… I’m a good person to them,” he said, noting that this friendliness sometimes sparks jealousy from their current partners. “It got to a point sometimes, their men, they get mad at me, thinking maybe we have something. No, we got nothing going on, we just decided to be cool.”
Asked if he could rekindle romance with any of his former partners, Diamond responded confidently, “Definitely… but it’s not that way. If you can be cool with the mother of your kids, no matter the circumstances, it makes her look at you differently.”
The chart-topping singer’s openness offers a rare glimpse into his personal life, showing a softer side to the man known for his energetic stage performances and string of hits.
