According to MMA Commissioner Brian Munyi, KO Fight Nights is a movement.
“This is a huge step forward for MMA in the region, supporting fighters from the grassroots up and setting a new competitive standard,” said Munyi.
“KO Fight Nights is more than a series; it’s a movement. With support from Kenyan Originals, the league also celebrates the launch of the region’s first professional MMA team at Nairobi Jiu Jitsu Academy, blending athletic excellence with community and culture.”
Alex Chappatte, founder and CEO of Kenyan Originals, is looking forward to an exciting event this weekend.
“KO Fight Nights is about more than just combat; it’s about championing originality, grit, and the spirit of East Africa. We’re proud to back a platform that gives local fighters the spotlight they deserve and brings communities together through sport and culture,” Chappatte said.
