Gospel singer Guardian Angel has hit back at critics questioning the source of his wealth after disclosing details of his monthly spending and assets.
The singer’s comments come after he disclosed his substantial monthly expenses during a recent interview, which included maintaining his office studio in Karen, paying staff salaries, and covering household costs.
Guardian Angel expressed frustration with the skepticism surrounding his wealth, particularly from fellow Christians.
“Hata Wakristo ukiwaambia Mungu amekubariki hawanaamini kichini chini wanasema ni mumama… kwani mnaabudu nani?” he posed, challenging those questioning his success and implying a lack of faith in divine blessings among his critics.
The 36-year-old artist has often been the subject of public debate due to his marriage to Esther Musila due to their huge age difference.
His latest revelation about his monthly expenditure has reignited discussions about his lifestyle and success.
“Bills zangu za every month ziko constant na si less than KSh 1.5M,” he said, explaining that his expenses are a testament to his hard work and God’s blessings rather than reliance on his wife’s income.
In a recent interview with media personality Alex Mwakideu, the Nadeka hitmaker addressed head-on the persistent speculation that he only married Musila because she is wealthy.
“Many people feel that the reason I am with her is because she has money, and so I am there because I want to spend it,” Guardian said.
He explained that, for a while, he chose not to fight the perception but rather let it exist, knowing it could work to his advantage.
“I actually decided to let that perception be… without addressing it, that I am spending her money. But now, at the end of the day, we still have that money. Whether it’s hers or mine, we still have it,” he said.
