Bongo Flava star Diamond Platnumz has called out media personality Baba Levo as well as popular musician Mbosso over what he termed ‘clout-chasing’ in his name.
The drama unfolded on Instagram, where Diamond posted a lengthy text expressing his frustration after a leaked studio session video sparked controversy.
The incident began when Baba Levo shared a video clip on social media showing Diamond Platnumz in a studio session with Mbosso.
While this might seem like a positive revelation, it appears to have been a move perceived by Diamond as a way for Baba Levo to generate “clout” and attention for himself.
In a strongly worded post, Diamond Platnumz addressed both individuals directly.
He first spoke to Baba Levo (@officialbabalevo), saying, “You and your young friend, I respect your space, but it’s getting out of hand. You are starting to become a nuisance. We have an agenda and what we are doing is not foolishness; it’s building us.”
He then turned his attention to Mbosso (@mbosso_), cautioning him about getting involved in the drama.
“You have every right to react in any way you want when you feel you’ve been wronged,” Diamond wrote.
“But I beg you, do not involve me in the foolishness of Baba Levo. We have come a long way, and I’ve told you many times, you don’t have to show proof.”
Diamond’s message to Mbosso continued, with a plea for mutual respect.
“I respect you, and I ask that you respect the respect I give you, because I don’t give it to everyone. But if you will keep walking on my heart and my chest, I am telling you with my heart and soul, what you are doing is enough. Continue on your path.”
Baba Levo appeared to take the message to heart.
Shortly after, he posted a picture on his Instagram, accompanied by a caption that seemed to be an apology and a direct response to the situation.
In the post, he wrote, “Mzee LUKUGA, I have no agenda whatsoever with you and Mbosso, and I am not capable of organizing a show to chase after clout. Forgive me, my elder.”
