Chris Brown’s Sh258,000 meet-and-greet photos spark reactions online

Renowned American artiste Chris Brown’s latest meet-and-greet photos have ignited a storm of reactions on social media.

In one viral picture, the award-winning singer and songwriter is captured removing a garter from a young woman’s thigh.

The woman, dressed in a stylish black dress, appears pleased and smiling as the photographer snapped the moment.

Reports indicate she paid $2,000 (Sh258,389) for the controversial photo with the 36-year-old Wet hitmaker.

Chris Brown has been holding meet-and-greet sessions for years, a booming business that has proven highly lucrative.

At these events, the ‘Feel something’ singer charges no less than $1,000 (Sh129,194) for a photo with fans.

Despite the hefty price tag, fans continue to flock in huge numbers.

The Superhero singer allows fans to decide the type of pose they want—whether it’s a hug, kiss on the cheek, sitting on his lap, a high five, or in this case, removing a garter. The requests vary, and Brown obliges without hesitation.

Brown has defended these interactions in the past, stressing that his fans are the foundation of his career. He insists the personalized, high-energy photographs are his way of giving back, even outside of his performances.

“Psa!!! When artists (everyone) do concerts, they all have something called a vip package. I haven’t done meet and greets in over 7 years. I have the coolest fans on the planet. I appreciate them. These are memories that will last with them forever,” Brown wrote in a memo quoted by BET.

The ‘Nasty’ singer also called out other artists who fail to engage with their fans in person, stressing that he owes his career to those who believed in his talent.

“Unlike most of these lame a– artists that won’t make eye contact with the people who made it possible to even have a career. I only exist because these fans saw something in me, I never thought was possible. So ima go all out for my fans!!!!” he declared.

Meanwhile, social media has been buzzing with mixed reactions.

One Instagram user commented, “Breezy has been running one of the greatest scamming schemes we’ve witnessed.”

Another joked, “Yet I have been removing garters off ladies for free.”

Another user going by the name goat added, “There’s no way these the same girls that cry when told to split the bill.”
