Spirits are high at Moi Sports Centre, Kasarani, as Kenyan football fans pour in ahead of the CHAN 2024 final between Madagascar and Morocco, kicking off at 6 pm.

Queues for ticket verification began forming as early as 1 pm, Saturday, with security tightened inside and outside the stadium.

Emergency services, including the Kenya Red Cross, are already on standby.

Authorities closed sections of Thika Road leading to Kasarani at 6 am to ease access for fans.

Fans undergo security checks at Kasarani ahead of the CHAN 2024 Final between Morocco and Madagascar, kicking off at 6pm.

Despite Kenya not featuring in the final, the crowd is buzzing with energy.

Some fans have carried flags and even painted themselves in Morocco’s red and green.

Among the high-profile guests are FIFA President Gianni Infantino and Confederation of African Football President Patrice Motsepe, both in Nairobi to attend the match.

The closing ceremony kicks off at 5.30 pm, with performances from Tanzanian star Zuchu, Kenya’s Savara, and Ugandan artist Eddy Kenzo.

Two-time champions Morocco will then clash with Madagascar for the trophy and the ultimate $3.5 million prize.
