Grammy Award-winning gospel icon CeCe Winans delivered a soul-stirring performance at Uhuru Gardens in Nairobi, leaving fans uplifted and inspired.
The American artiste, known for her powerful vocals and timeless worship songs, took to the stage at 7:45 pm and performed until 9:20 pm, treating the crowd to a heartfelt set of eleven songs.
Among the worship anthems she performed were “Goodness of God,” “Believe for It,” “Holy Forever,” and “Come Jesus Come.”
Fans sang along passionately, creating a night of praise and thanksgiving that resonated deeply with the audience.
Dressed in a striking white two-piece suit, a colorful kimono-style robe, and a blue hat emblazoned with the word “Jesus,” Winans brought both elegance and energy to the stage.
The evening began with a curtain-raising performance by Vanissy Uwase, a young Congolese gospel artiste and self-taught street worshipper based in Nairobi.
DJ Moz also kept the crowd entertained throughout the night with an electrifying gospel set.
The Nairobi stop was part of Winans’ ongoing More Than This tour, which also saw her visit Kiambu during her time in Kenya.
CeCe Winans is celebrated as one of the greatest gospel artistes of all time, holding a record 17 Grammy Awards—the most for any female gospel singer—alongside 33 GMA Dove Awards and 24 Stellar Awards.
