Coast-based singer Nyota Ndogo has sounded an emotional warning to young Kenyan women working in the Gulf, urging them to be cautious with their hard-earned money and avoid falling prey to men who exploit their financial vulnerability.

In a heartfelt message shared on her social media, the songbird recalled her own struggles as a domestic worker before her rise to fame, stressing the need for vigilance.
“Warembo munao fanya kazi nchi za Kiarabu plz plz plz kuweni makini. Kama ni kuolewa mtarudi nyumbani na mtapata waume wa kuwaoa. Wanaume wengi sikuizi wamekua wavivu mno na hawana huruma,” she wrote.

Nyota Ndogo accused some men of taking advantage of women working abroad, luring them into online relationships and later demanding financial support under false pretenses.
“Wanajua mpo desperate. Wengine mpaka mnaamini mtu humjui anatumia pesa eti nataftie shamba cause amekwambia am yours forever kwa simu,” she cautioned.

According to her, this manipulation has not only drained many women of their savings but also emboldened lazy men back home who no longer make an effort to work.

“Hii imefanya vijana wengi hawatafuti kazi tena cause nyie mpo. And you know what? Wanakula hizo pesa na mademu zao. Wewe nikitega uchumi tu,” she lamented.
The singer, who left home at 17 to work as a house help, spoke from experience, reminding women not to let their sacrifices go to waste.

“Plz stop it, it may be you don’t love yourself. Mungu tulindie watoto wetu wakike,” she appealed.
