Nigeria’s Apostle Joshua Selman and renowned gospel singer Nathaniel Bassey brought Nairobi to a standstill as thousands thronged Uhuru Park for the climax of the Rhema Feast 2025.
The historic grounds lit up with worship, prayer and testimonies in what many attendees described as a life-changing encounter.
The five-day gospel conference, organised by Ruach Assemblies, drew believers from across Kenya and beyond.
Preacher after preacher took to the stage, delivering fiery sermons that resonated deeply with the faithful. Among them was Kenya’s own Pastor T Mwangi, the rapper-turned-preacher, who urged young people to embrace the gospel and live transformed lives.
The highlight of the evening came when Nathaniel Bassey, trumpet in hand, led the crowd in praise and worship.
Songs such as “Imela” and “Onise Iyanu” echoed across Uhuru Park, with thousands lifting their voices in unison. His performance sparked a wave of jubilation, with many worshippers seen dancing, kneeling and openly weeping as they sang along.
With the dark evening, the faithful lit up the park, putting on their phone flashlights and giving a scene almost mimicking the stars in the sky.
Miracles were also reported during the event. Several people came forward to testify of instant healing, with some throwing away their crutches and walking unaided. Shouts of joy erupted as each testimony was shared, adding to the electric atmosphere that had engulfed the park.
Apostle Selman, delivering his powerful sermon ‘I will build my church’, and spoke about the need for Kenya to rise as a nation rooted in prayer and righteousness.
His message struck a chord with the thousands of Christian faithfuls who had endured long queues and hours of waiting to be part of the historic gathering.
As the conference drew to a close, Nairobi’s streets transformed into rivers of worship. Throngs of believers left Uhuru Park singing gospel songs, their voices echoing late into the night.
