A Kenyan man has taken to Facebook with a raw and emotional post detailing the heartbreak of discovering his wife’s alleged repeated infidelity, saying the betrayal has left him broken after more than a decade of marriage.
Tiras Muange publicly announced the bitter end of his 12-year union with gospel artiste Phyllis Mutisya, accusing her of sustained infidelity spanning eight years.
In his post, he listed more than a dozen men he alleged his wife had affairs with, some of whom he claimed were married.
According to Muange, the alleged relationships took place in hotels, furnished apartments, and during road trips, leaving not only him but also the families of the men involved deeply hurt.
“In 8 years now, you’ve given your heart to not one man but to many, and married, while breaking the hearts of their lovely wives,” he wrote.
Beyond the accusations of cheating, Muange described what he called a toxic home environment marked by humiliation, disrespect, and temperamental outbursts, saying it had eroded his peace and spirit.
“The worst feeling for a man is when he tries to have a conversation with a woman about her behaviour that hurts him, but instead of listening, she gets angry and turns the situation around on him,” he lamented.
Closing his post, Muange said he was surrendering the situation to God, declaring that his wife was now a free bird.
“I need peace and the room to find my ground in all this,” he concluded.
The post quickly went viral, drawing mixed reactions from netizens.
Gerald Ngao wrote: “Nothing stings deeper than infidelity. It breaks trust, shatters hearts, and leaves scars that love alone can’t always heal. This is so scary and equally fatal.”
Macmillan Wanga commented, “I think this guy is exaggerating everything to make his wife look bad. Kama umechoka kuishi na mtu just walk away sio kuharibia mtu jina.”
Gerald Wambua added, “I think mentioning names is a sign of desperation. Separation is normal, but you shouldn’t go about naming persons without proof of allegations. Phyllis, go ahead and move on.”
Mutisya, who enjoys a following of more than 118,000 on Facebook, has yet to comment on the matter.
Her last post remains dated 16 July.
