Pepsi Beverages Kenya has signed an exclusive deal with Skyward Airlines to supply its beverages on all the carrier’s routes, marking the soft drink maker’s latest push into new consumer channels.
The agreement makes Pepsi products such as Mirinda, Mountain Dew, 7UP, Sting, and Aquafina the sole soft drink and water options on Skyward flights. The airline, which operates about 547 flights a month carrying roughly 26,000 passengers across 11 domestic and regional routes, will now serve Pepsi’s portfolio on board. The deal extends Pepsi’s reach in Kenya’s travel market, where passenger traffic totaled 5.32 million in 2024, according to government data.
“Skyward Airlines and Pepsi share a vision of growth, innovation, and delivering premium experiences to customers, and this partnership ensures our world-renowned brands are enjoyed by families across Kenya and the region,” John K’Otieno, Pepsi Kenya’s Country Manager.
The deal positions the brand within an industry where food and beverage choices are closely tied to passenger satisfaction. For Skyward, the partnership adds a recognized beverage provider as it competes in the domestic aviation market, which includes routes such as Nairobi–Mombasa, Nairobi–Lamu, and Nairobi–Dar es Salaam.
