Digital strategist and political commentator Pauline Njoroge has hit back at swirling rumours linking her romantically to a married man, calling the claims “malicious gossip”.
The storm began after photos from Njoroge’s glamorous 40th birthday celebration surfaced online, showing her alongside a man later identified and named in viral threads.
Almost immediately, blogs and gossip pages latched onto the images, claiming he had a separate family. Screenshots, unverified pictures of children and even family portraits were dragged into the chatter, with online “tea masters” fueling the frenzy.
The speculation reached fever pitch when popular commentator Sue Gacambi posted that the man was married, further alleging that his marriage had fallen apart after intimate photos with Njoroge made their way online.
Amid mounting trolling and relentless gossip, Njoroge took to her verified Facebook page to break her silence.
“Since the tea masters have decided to make me the subject on these streets, let me make somethings clear,” she wrote. “I did not participate in breaking up a marriage. Life happens.
Sometimes two good people meet, try to build something together, and along the way it doesn’t work out. They part ways, move on, and later meet other people with whom they start new chapters.”
She went on to dismiss the narrative that her companion had been “dressed by another woman” to attend her birthday function, calling it “the most ridiculous thing” she had heard.
“What’s shocking is the lengths some people will go to manufacture a tea moment, even dragging in photos of innocent children and parents to force a narrative,” she added.
