Former Nairobi governor Mike Sonko’s daughter, Sandra Mbuvi, popularly known as Thicky Sandra, has threatened to take legal action against bloggers for spreading false information and making defamatory claims about her.
In a candid Instagram post, the digital creator narrated how a recent situation was blown out of context after a Live session she hosted on social media was allegedly recorded, edited, and misrepresented by bloggers.
“Don’t mind how I look; I was in the club yesterday. I hate how bloggers are making me angry through spreading wrong information about me. Please don’t play with my name and brand and find something else to play with,” Sandra said.
According to her, she was simply preparing for a night out with friends when bloggers clipped parts of the Live stream and used them to spin a different narrative.
“An example is yesterday; I was on Live, preparing myself to go to the club. My homeboys were calling me to hurry up because I take forever to get ready. Then some bloggers recorded the whole Live and picked out some specific parts and left out others, spreading false information about me,” she explained.
Sandra warned that this was her final caution to the culprits, adding that she would not hesitate to file a lawsuit if the alleged defamation continued.
“Don’t play with me because I am not the one to be played with. This is the last time because I will sue you,” she declared.
Her fiery response quickly went viral, sparking mixed reactions from Kenyans online. While some supported her stance, others advised her to simply ignore the negativity.
Instagram user Mapettco commented, “Ukiamua kuingia mneti feelings acha kwako.”
Another, Wangui, added, “Kubully watu na kuspread uongo haikuangi poa guys. Mimi naweza muadvise aignore tu.”
