Popular Kenyan businesswoman Damaris Wanjiru Muriithi, the founder of Dama Mobile Spares, has welcomed her newborn daughter, Talia, with a homecoming celebration marked by opulence, pageantry, and fine taste.
Images and videos shared widely online captured the grandeur of the occasion, as Damaris, fondly known as Dama, was escorted from the hospital by a flashy convoy of luxury vehicles, all bearing custom number plates inscribed with the words Baby Talia.
Among the fleet were a Toyota Land Cruiser V8, a BMW X6, and a Mercedes-Benz GLE 350d SUV — a display that left many netizens marvelling at the scale of the festivities.
In one scene, Damaris, adorned with flowers, is seen walking out of the hospital accompanied by a group of ladies carrying the newborn and suitcases, their steps forming a stately procession.
The celebration continued at her residence, where photos revealed a tastefully decorated room emblazoned with the words Welcome Baby Talia.
The atmosphere was one of joy and reverence, with family and friends joining in the merriment.
Sharing her gratitude in a heartfelt post, Damaris wrote, “I want to take this moment to appreciate everyone for the love and support you have showed me all through. I’m a proud mother. The many calls, congratulations messages, and visitations, I don’t take it for granted. To my fans, staff, family, and friends, God bless you.”
Kenyans online responded warmly, with one admirer commenting, “This is beautiful. The girls must have been thrilled welcoming their sister. More congratulations.”
Another added, “Congratulations mama and Baby Talia. When a mother has a safe delivery and goes home with their baby, it’s a big blessing! We see God.”
Damaris, a prominent entrepreneur, has built a formidable reputation in the mobile phone spare parts industry.
Since founding Dama Mobile Spares in 2009, she has grown the enterprise into a leading wholesale distributor with branches in Nairobi’s Luthuli Avenue, Nakuru, Ruiru, and Githurai 45.
In past interviews, she attributed her success to specialising exclusively in spare parts rather than phones or accessories.
Celebrated for her inspiring rags-to-riches journey, Damaris has also become a familiar figure in Kenya’s vernacular entertainment scene, often collaborating with leading Kikuyu personalities and celebrities.
