Worship leaders Chandler Moore and Naomi Raine have officially announced their departure from Maverick City Music, marking the end of an era for the Grammy-winning gospel collective.

The longtime collaborators shared the news in emotional social media posts, describing the move as a prayerful and carefully considered decision after six years with the group.

Moore called the decision bittersweet, saying the past two years had been a season of reflection and realignment.

“These last two years, I have been locked in what really matters…with that I have made the bittersweet decision to end my relationship with Maverick City Music. This transition is not easy. Maverick is something I poured my heart into, so it’s like saying Goodbye to your kid,” he wrote.

Moore added that moving forward, he would focus on making music that makes people feel a little more human, a little more understood, and a little less alone.

“To my fans and supporters, thank you for rocking with me from the start. To Naomi, Brandon, Aaron, Dante, Joe L, and everyone else who was officially apart and unofficially, y’all have encouraged me, and I will not forget the moments we had,” he said.

Raine, in her own announcement, said she was leaving with gratitude and no regrets.

“This journey has changed my life forever. I don’t regret one single thing; the highs, the lows, the lessons… all of it. I have learned a lot about God and people, and myself. And I will always carry those lessons with me,” she wrote on Instagram.

She added that the decision came after much prayer and introspection.

“I’m still writing, still singing, still worshipping and leading others in worship, just on my own,” she said. “This isn’t really an ending, but a new beginning.”

Earlier this year, Moore released his solo project Live in Los Angeles.

At the same time, Raine recently dropped Jesus Over Everything (Live in Las Vegas), both signaling their growing focus on personal artistry and ministry.

Fans online did not hold back, expressing both disappointment and confidence in the duo’s newfound passions.

Founded in 2018, Maverick City Music has become one of the most influential forces in contemporary worship, producing global hits like “Jireh” and “Promises.”

While neither artist hinted at internal conflict, their departures mark a new chapter for both the group and its founding members.

Maverick City Music has yet to comment on the announcements.
