Two of Africa’s brightest stars have joined forces to create what could easily become the continent’s next global dance anthem which was released today.

Ghanaian-American hitmaker Moliy and South African Grammy Award-winner Tyla have released their sizzling new single, “Body Go”.

The collaboration merges R&B, Pop, Amapiano, and Afrobeats, resulting in a fusion that celebrates rhythm, movement, and confidence.

Produced by FRNCH and Grammy-winning producer DEE/MA, “Body Go” captures the pulse of Africa’s nightlife from Accra to Johannesburg, Lagos to Nairobi with its basslines and irresistible hooks.

Following the runaway success of her global hit “Shake It To The Max – FLY [Remix]”, which surpassed 1 billion streams and was named among Spotify and TikTok’s Songs of the Summer 2025, Moliy continues her global ascent with “Body Go.” The song’s creation was as organic as it was electric.

“When I was done recording the song, I just knew it needed another baddie,” Moliy says. “I sent it to Tyla hoping she’d feel it and when she sent her verse back, it was perfect. The first time we met in New York, it didn’t even feel like the first time. We laughed the whole time, and she even brought me flowers for my birthday. That’s when I knew this song captured the right energy; carefree, confident, and full of joy.”

Tyla, fresh off her monumental year of global success, says the track instantly resonated with her. “I remember hearing ‘Body Go’ and thinking, ‘Yeah, I need to be on this,’” she said. “It feels playful and light like you’re outside with your girls, not overthinking, just living. Moliy and I clicked right away.”

The release highlights a larger moment for African women in music, artists shaping the global pop narrative while staying true to their roots.

For Moliy, who made history as the first Ghanaian artist to perform at the BET Awards, and Tyla, whose Grammy-winning hit “Water” broke international charts, “Body Go” represents more than just a collaboration, as they say, it’s a celebration of unity, sisterhood, and the unstoppable force of African creativity.
