American music stars Big Sean and Jhené Aiko have reportedly gone their separate ways after more than ten years together.
According to entertainment outlet AllHipHop, sources close to the pair claimed that the two decided to part ways after facing disagreements about the future of their relationship.
The publication reported that Aiko was allegedly seeking a greater commitment, while Big Sean was said to be hesitant to take that step.
“She wanted marriage, she wanted the commitment,” the source said.
“Sean loves her deeply, but he just never wanted to take that final step.” Before walking away for good, Aiko allegedly gave big Sean “multiple ultimatums.”
“Eventually, she realized that ring wasn’t coming. She decided it was time to move on,” the source added. “They’re in a great place — it’s peaceful. They both respect each other too much to let things get messy. They just want to do what’s best for their child.”
Neither artist has, however, publicly commented on the reports.
Fans expressed shock and sadness online following the breakup rumours.
One user on X (formerly Twitter) wrote, “After 10 years? Wild.”
Another added, “They didn’t break up. They just finished the version of themselves that belonged together.”
Others predicted Aiko’s next project would be “a masterpiece.”
Aiko and Big Sean’s relationship has long drawn public interest.
The two first met in 2012 and collaborated on several tracks, including the 2016 joint project TWENTY88. Their chemistry, both on and off stage, fueled speculation about their romance.
At the time, Aiko was married to producer Dot Da Genius, though she later filed for divorce.
The singer and Big Sean went on to date publicly, often sharing their affection in interviews and on social media.
The pair briefly split in 2019 but later rekindled their relationship. In 2022, they welcomed a son together, Noah Hasani.
During an appearance on Out of Context with Charlamagne Tha God, Big Sean opened up about their dynamic, saying:
“Just like any other people who have dealt with love, we’ve had our ups and downs. I would like to [get married], but there’s a lot of work that needs to be done.”
Recent speculation about their breakup grew after Aiko shared a cryptic post on Instagram featuring an unreleased song titled Break.
Unverified reports by blogs such as Rain Drops Media have also suggested that Big Sean may have moved on, but those claims remain unconfirmed.
