Kenyan-Australian artist Rodeoboy is charting a new phase in his musical journey with the release of his latest single, “Five More Shots.”

The track an ode to the electric after-hours energy of a night that refuses to die, a celebration of what Australians call “kickons,” where the party simply shifts venues but never loses momentum.

With “Five More Shots,” he demonstrates a striking evolution in his sound and outlook.

Once known for his raw, aggressive tone, he now embraces a more laid-back and confident approach.

“My early sound was more angry,” he says. “Now it’s a bit more chill, maybe nonchalant.”

Born of Kenyan heritage and raised in Australia, Rodeoboy’s dual identity forms the backbone of his artistry.

His music weaves between the storytelling traditions of East Africa and the bold, experimental sounds of Australia.

“The new stuff feels more fun and out there,” he says, describing his latest work as a reflection of creative freedom.

But his ambitions extend far beyond his current horizon. He’s setting his sights on the United States, hoping to collaborate with powerhouse producers like Mike Dean and global icons such as Travis Scott.

“Working with Travis would be a dream,” he says with conviction, hinting at his desire to blend his Kenyan-Australian roots with the expansive American hip-hop.

He also points to rising artist KayCyy, known for collaborations with major US acts, as a potential creative ally and gateway into the international music circuit.
