Grammy-winning star Burna Boy halted a concert in Denver after spotting a fan asleep in the crowd, ordering security to remove her before he continued performing.

The Nigerian artiste, dressed in a white T-shirt, black leather jacket, and matching trousers, stopped mid-show after noticing the woman sleeping beside her partner.

He addressed the man directly, saying, “Bro, your girl is sleeping right in front of me; take her home. I am not singing another song unless you take her home. Hurry up!”

The music cut abruptly as the spotlight shifted to the stunned fan. In the viral clip circulating on social media, two security officers approached and spoke to her briefly before escorting her out of the venue.

The woman, identified as Chaltu Jateny, later took to X to express how humiliating the moment had been for both her and her boyfriend.

“I am the girl that was kicked out of the show. I don’t even know where to begin, but that was very embarrassing and humiliating to myself and my boyfriend. Burna Boy could’ve handled that situation better than that. He had no idea what was going on with me, and he didn’t even care,” she wrote.

Jateny revealed she had been struggling emotionally following the death of her daughter’s father and had attended the show hoping for a brief escape. She claimed the ‘Last Last’ hitmaker delayed taking the stage, leaving her exhausted by the time he appeared.

“I have been mentally, physically and emotionally drained since my daughter’s dad passed away, and I came to his show to put a smile on my face after everything that has happened. He took forever to come out, and I was tired,” she added.

She argued that since she had paid for the concert, she had every right to rest if she wished, and criticised fans who cheered as she was asked to leave.

“We paid to be there, and if I wanted to close my eyes and sleep, I can do that. It is my money that I wasted, not his. And for all of you in the comment section being nasty, how about showing kindness? You never know what someone is going through,” she wrote.

The incident triggered mixed reactions online. X user Augustine Isama said, “Take them to court because you paid for it and your money should be returned in full and with extra damages caused by the humiliation.” On Instagram, Fashionova added, “He does NOT know her situation! He got his coins from her sitting there so PLEASE PROCEED WITH THE SHOW or run me my money expeditiously.”
