Friends and family have gathered at the Kenyatta Memorial Funeral Home to pay their final respects to the late gospel singer Betty Bayo ahead of her burial later today.
At the facility, the hearse stood parked outside, ready to take Betty on her final journey.
Among those present are her ex-husband, Pastor Victor Kanyari, as well as gospel musicians Shiru Wa GP, Karangu Muraya, Martin Janet, and Elijah Miller.
Celebrated Kikuyu radio presenter Ngoni Thuita is also in attendance.
In a separate video, Betty’s daughter, Sky Victor and her brother were seen walking into the facility accompanied by Hiram Gitau.
Shiru Wa GP, who has been at the centre of organising the funeral arrangements for her close friend, yesterday shared photos of the venue in Mugumo, where the funeral service is taking place.
A huge turnout is expected, with thousands of mourners anticipated to attend and honour a singer whose music touched and uplifted many.
Betty passed away on November 10 after a fierce battle with acute myeloid leukaemia, a form of blood cancer.
She has been mourned across the country and beyond as a true minister of the gospel, remembered for inspiring hope through her music and unwavering faith.
