Orange Is the New Black actress Taryn Manning has ignited fresh debate online after posting a bizarre Instagram video in which she danced topless.
In the clip, the 47-year-old appears barefoot with an unbuttoned shirt flapping open as she moves. Moments later, she drops the shirt entirely, leaving her upper body completely nude.
Manning captioned the provocative post: “We have zero control of the outcome. Your birthday suit is yours. Remember, we only became self-conscious after EVE messed up. Go back to the roots! Be free again.”
The incident has reignited concerns about the Bloodline Killer actress’s behaviour. In 2023, she was reportedly spotted in Palm Springs wearing only underwear while holding a dog, according to TMZ.
In 2025, the Daily Mail published an image showing Manning dishevelled and sitting atop her car.
The actress, best known as “Doggett” on Orange Is the New Black, was photographed wearing a white T-shirt featuring punk band Suicidal Tendencies, an unkempt hairstyle partially covered by a white zip-up hoodie, white sneakers, and sunglasses. Her car carried a Trump–Vance bumper sticker. The image was reportedly taken in Los Angeles.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Manning was admitted to Silver Hill psychiatric facility in Connecticut in 2016 after suffering a breakdown on the set of the Netflix series.
She checked out after two days and later insisted she had no substance-abuse issues.
“I’ve never even seen methamphetamine. Nothing. Never. I’m not saying I’ve never done drugs. I’ve made it clear on Instagram that I used to do a bump of cocaine here and there, but not anymore. I call it the devil’s dandruff — can’t stand it,” she told the outlet at the time.
In 2023, the They Turned Us Into Killers actress also alarmed fans after posting a slurred video graphically describing sexual acts with an unnamed married partner.
Social media users reacted sharply to her latest display. Instagram user Garcia Bella asked, “What is she high on?” while another, Todd Hilton, wrote, “I really wonder what could be going on with her, honestly.”
Manning has since deleted the video, though she kept the topless cover image for a subsequent post.
