President Donald Trump, while giving Thanksgiving message, has announced plans for a “permanent pause” on migration from all Third World countries.
In his message, he opened with a portrayal of a nation in decline.
He accused the United States of having allowed itself to be “divided, disrupted, carved up, murdered, beaten, mugged and laughed at” through what he called naïve and politically correct immigration policies.
He argued that these failures had exposed the country to an unmanageable influx of foreigners, citing Census figures that place the foreign-born population at 53 million.

He insisted this number is understated and overwhelmingly composed of welfare recipients, former prisoners, gang members and people from what he termed “failed nations.”
He went on to frame immigration as the root of America’s modern struggles, linking it to urban decay, overstretched hospitals, high crime, failing schools, housing shortages and growing deficits.
To illustrate his point, he claimed that a migrant earning 30,000 dollars with a green card receives as much as 50,000 dollars in annual benefits a figure he used to argue that Americans are unfairly financing systems that encourage dependency.
Minnesota became a focal point of his attack, with Trump alleging that “hundreds of thousands” of Somali refugees are “taking over” the state.
He described a picture of Somali gangs roaming the streets while residents remain locked indoors, criticising Governor Tim Walz and Representative Ilhan Omar for what he called their incompetence, fear or outright hostility toward America.
He also announced a total halt to migration from all Third World countries, which he said is necessary to allow the U.S. system to “fully recover.”
He vowed to terminate “millions” of what he labelled illegal admissions approved under President Joe Biden.
Beyond that, he promised to remove any migrant he does not consider a net asset to the country or who he deems incapable of loving the United States.
He also pledged to end all federal benefits for non-citizens, denaturalise migrants he accuses of undermining “domestic tranquillity,” and deport anyone classified as a public burden, a security threat or “non-compatible with Western civilisation.”
He said these steps were part of a broader project of “reverse migration,” which he described as the only way to address what he considers a dangerous and destabilising influx of foreign nationals.
