The Endless Energy Dance Festival (EEDF) is preparing for its seventh and biggest edition yet, with a focus on creativity, youth culture, and climate action.
On 13 December 2025, Rowallan Grounds will host Kenyan music stars Ssaru, Breeder LW, Toxic Lyrikali, Fathermoh, and DJ Joe Mfalme, alongside thousands of young people, in a celebration of music, dance, and environmental activism.
The 2025 edition, themed “Dancing for a Greener Future,” blends entertainment with environmental advocacy, reflecting Gen Z’s spirit—expressive on the dancefloor and vocal about climate justice.
Following last year’s success, which drew over 2,000 participants and inspired community tree planting in Kibera, this year’s festival expects more than 3,000 youth and 1,000 children, many attracted by mainstream artistes joining the cause.
The day begins with the ChezaCheza Green Walk, a lively march that doubles as a community cleanup.
Attendees will also take part in climate panels, social-emotional learning workshops, eco-art installations, and public murals.
Tree planting, dustbin installations, and other eco-projects will allow participants to contribute directly to sustainability efforts.
Climate-focused films and an Open Mic Climate Stage will provide platforms for poets and musicians to share their views on the environment.
The festival also launches the Green Champions Program, training 20 young people as peer educators and community climate leaders.
Their work will continue beyond the festival, shaping local action plans and supporting environmental advocacy.
By sunset, as DJ Joe Mfalme takes over the decks, the festival will have combined art, activism, and youthful energy.
Organisers expect over 50 trees planted, 10 new environmental clubs formed, and permanent eco-themed public art installations.
