Esther Passaris breaks internet with skimpy outfit during parliamentary games in Uganda

Nairobi Women Representative Esther Passaris has once again turned heads with a daring outfit during a golf match, representing Kenya at the East African Parliamentary Games in Uganda.

In footage from the event, Passaris sported a navy blue polo shirt, a cap, a flowery short skirt, and pink sports shoes, appearing relaxed and enjoying the game alongside fellow players.

Sharing highlights on her X page, she celebrated Team Kenya’s performance.

“Team Kenya finished at the top with a powerful 439 points at the EALA Parliamentary Golf Day! Uganda followed with 312, Rwanda 42, EALA 37, and South Sudan 28. A fantastic day of diplomacy, sport, and friendship across our East African region,” she wrote.

The 15th East African Community (EAC) Inter-Parliamentary Games are underway in Kampala from December 5 to 17, 2025.

Kenyans on social media were quick to weigh in on Passaris’s showy outfit.

X user Stingy wrote: “Politics aside. Congratulations.”

Juma Osaso added, “Surely, why all this on Hon. Esther Passaris? Is she supposed to play golf wearing dera? She looks very fine as part of the Kenyan team.”

Meanwhile, Eshole commented: “Sasa hio ni skirt gani umevaa surely mheshimiwa??”

Passaris’ fashion choices have often stirred public debate.

In 2019, a photo of her in a see-through Donna Karan dress resurfaced, showing her thighs at a Miss World launch years earlier.

The image drew criticism, with many labelling it “indecent” and questioning its suitability for a public leader.

Passaris defended her choice, saying she had “no apologies” and controversially asserting that “those with sin see my nakedness,” while “those redeemed… see a beautiful child of God.”

More recently, in October, she faced backlash after visiting the late Raila Odinga’s Karen home to offer condolences for the fallen opposition leader.

Photos showed her in a designer dress with a high slit while paying respects.

Critics deemed the outfit “inappropriate for a mourning occasion,” though others argued she appeared respectful and dignified, urging the public to focus on the purpose of the visit rather than her attire.
