The United States Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has named fifteen Kenyan nationals among what it calls the “worst of the worst criminal aliens” arrested in recent nationwide operations by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

The list, released on December 10, highlights arrests made across Colorado, Texas, California, Arizona, Tennessee, Utah, Massachusetts, Washington, Georgia, Pennsylvania, and Minnesota.

According to DHS, the individuals, fourteen men and one woman, were detained in coordinated sweeps targeting non-citizens with serious criminal convictions.

Their offences include driving under the influence of alcohol (Alfred Obiero, Patrick Mwangi, Daniel Kathii) and assault (Alfred Obiero, Kevin Gunyanyi, Moses Okoth, Boniface Mburu, the latter two involving weapons).

Other notable felonies include robbery (Bethuel Gathu), the kidnapping of a minor and RICO violations (Mohamed Chekchekani), drug-related offences (Moffat Muriithi), fraud and false statements (Antony Karia, Clement Mulovi, Collins Keanche), and various property crimes like receiving stolen property (Francis Mungai, Boniface Mburu) and check forgery (Collins Keanche).

The list also includes a conviction for flight to avoid prosecution (Isaac Githinji) and terroristic offences (Kevin Gunyanyi).

ICE reported arrests linked to assault, domestic violence, and repeated driving-under-the-influence incidents in Colorado and Texas.

In California and Pennsylvania, officers apprehended individuals previously convicted of robbery, kidnapping of a minor, and issuing terroristic threats.

Other cases involved convicts with records for aggravated assault with a weapon, receiving stolen property, and violating court orders, with arrests carried out in Tennessee, Georgia, and Utah.

ICE teams in Houston, Seattle, and Saint Cloud also picked up suspects found guilty of drug trafficking, fraud, money laundering, and hit-and-run offences.

DHS Secretary Kristi Noem said the publication of the profiles is part of an escalated national crackdown targeting immigrants with significant criminal histories.

The update comes just a day after ICE announced the capture of additional offenders described as pedophiles, armed robbers, and drug traffickers.

Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin said enforcement efforts will continue throughout the holiday season.

“Americans may be busy with Christmas parties and shopping, but the mission to arrest and deport criminal illegal aliens never stops, and neither does ICE law enforcement,” she said, adding that a new DHS website now publicly displays details of the arrests.

Since returning to office in 2025, President Donald Trump has rolled out sweeping changes to U.S. immigration enforcement, vowing to execute “the largest domestic deportation operation” in the country’s history.

His administration has increased deportation flights, including transfers to third countries, expanded nationwide raids, and broadened enforcement powers for federal, state, and local officers.

In May, Homeland Security Advisor Stephen Miller confirmed a target of 3,000 arrests per day for undocumented immigrants.

By mid-November, more than 65,000 people were in ICE detention, according to data from the Transactional Records Access Clearinghouse (TRAC) at Syracuse University.

Raids have been conducted in workplaces, farms, universities, and private homes, marking one of the most expansive immigration enforcement drives in modern U.S. history.
