Popular TikTok content creator Musa, known online as ‘musaszn,’ came under fire after making sexually inappropriate comments about schoolgoing girls during a live session.
The clip, which instantly went viral online, sparked backlash and intense discussions around boundaries, responsibility and the conduct expected of influencers.
Parents, fellow creators and users condemned the remarks, saying they were unacceptable regardless of intent.
As the backlash grew, bloggers and commentators revisited Musa’s past content, with some questioning whether the incident was an isolated lapse in judgment or part of a broader pattern.

Musa’s silence in the early stages of the controversy further fueled criticism, with many interpreting it as avoidance.
Days later, he broke his silence, issuing a brief response in which he downplayed the remarks and offered a subtle apology, maintaining that his words were intended as a compliment and were not sexually motivated.
“I have seen your comments. To be honest, I just appreciated their beauty, and I want nothing to do with them beyond that,” he said.

Online, however, the damage had already been done.
Musa’s original TikTok account was brought down with over 270,000 followers, allegedly after netizens mass-reported it.
In reactions to the original video, comments were harsh, with some reminding him about the hefty fines and long jail terms, should he be found to be in contravention of the law.
“Very unfortunate,” one user wrote.
“Miaka ni 35 hapa Kamiti, chunga,” another advised.
