Rick Ross will launch his new book, Renaissance of a Boss: Notes from a Creative Reawakening, in May 2026.
Next year will mark 20 years in the music industry since the release of his debut single, Hustlin’, in March 2006.
The hip-hop mogul and entrepreneur announced the latest work on social media to his millions of followers.
“It’s time. For twenty years, we’ve been hustlin’. Now, I’m taking you on a different kind of journey,” he shared.
He continued: “I hit the road to find a new spark, asking the big questions and finding answers in unexpected places. This book is about that journey. It’s about rediscovering that, fire, the creative process, and what it truly means to be the biggest.”
Ross has previously published Hurricanes: A Memoir (2019), co-authored with Neil Martinez-Belkin, which details his upbringing and rise in Miami during a period marked by hard drug abuse and violent crime.
In 2021, he released The Perfect Day to Boss Up, a self-help entrepreneurial guide on building an empire from scratch.
Both books became New York Times bestsellers.
Rick Ross, born William Leonard Roberts II, is an influential American rapper and record executive who rose to fame with his 2006 breakout single “Hustlin’.”
Known for his deep, raspy voice and “larger-than-life” persona, he became a central figure in Southern hip-hop by crafting a cinematic narrative of wealth and luxury.
He is the founder of Maybach Music Group (MMG), a powerhouse label that launched the careers of major artists like Meek Mill and Wale, and he has consistently dominated charts with hit albums such as Port of Miami, Trilla, and God Forgives, I Don’t.
Beyond his music career, Ross is a prolific entrepreneur and self-described “Biggest Boss.”
He owns dozens of Wingstop franchises and has successful ventures in the spirits industry with brands like Luc Belaire.
Despite early career controversies regarding his past as a correctional officer, which contrasted with his lyrical “kingpin” image, he has maintained a massive following through his business acumen and his reputation for having an elite ear for “lush” and soulful production.
