Reality TV personality Mickey Lee, best known for her appearance on Big Brother, has died at the age of 35.
According to reports, Lee passed away on Christmas Day after suffering multiple cardiac arrests.
The news has left fans and fellow reality TV stars shocked, with many taking to social media to express grief and condolences.
In a statement released on Friday, her family wrote on Instagram, “With profound sadness, the family of Mickey Lee announces her transition on Christmas in the early evening.”
It continued, “Mickey captured the hearts of audiences nationwide through her appearance on Big Brother, where her authenticity, strength and spirit left a lasting impression on fans and fellow cast members alike. She will be remembered for the joy she brought into the lives of so many and for the genuine connections she formed both on and off screen.”
Recently, a video from Mickey Lee’s last interview with the Hip Hop United LLC podcast made rounds on social media.
The video dated December 17, 2025, and while appearing on the podcast, Mickey made a comment about life, which is now going viral, amid her death at the age of 35, leaving people broken. In the video, the host asked Mickey how she measured her happiness.
Mickey was hesitant to answer at first, but later she said she woke up every day and thanked God for the life she had been gifted with. She stated that she was just happy with being able to have another day in love with all the abundance.
“I wake up and I thank God every day that I’m here. I’m happy when that happens. I have another day. I have clothes on my back, I have food on the table and I have my village.”
Mickey Lee’s GoFundMe page earlier circulated that she was hospitalised earlier this week. Later, it was revealed that she passed away on December 25, 2025.
It was Big Brother host, Julie Chen, who took to her social media handle and shared that it was just two months back that Mickey sat for an interview on GOD 101, wherein she revealed that she was born with a hole in her heart.
“Two months ago I interviewed Mickey Lee on God 101. That’s when she revealed to me that she was born with a hole in her heart, and as an adult she survived an ATV accident that should have killed her, but God kept her alive. Last night God brought her home. Rest In Peace dear Mickey. I will see you again on the other side in eternity. I pray the good Lord comforts and heals your family and loved ones as we grieve your passing. Amen.”
