Tanzanian digital creator Mwijaku has taken to social media to blame Diamond Platnumz for the collapse of his marriage.
In a viral Instagram video, Mwijaku claimed that his friendship with the ‘Komosava’ hitmaker lasted only a week before his relationship with his wife fell apart.
“Nimekuwa na urafiki na Mwambino (Diamond Platnumz) kwa wiki moja na ndoa yangu imeharibika,” Mwijaku said.
He contrasted this with his long-standing friendships with other Tanzanian music stars, including Alikiba, whom he has known for 24 years, and Harmonize, whom he has known for 28 years, claiming that these relationships never negatively impacted his marriage.
“Imagine nimekaa na Alikiba miaka ishirini na nne, ndoa yangu imeharibika. Nimekaa na Harmonize miaka ishirini na nane, na sijawahi haribiwa ndoa,” he said.
He went on to advise his fans to be cautious with certain friends, asserting, “Kuna baadhi ya marafiki wanafaa kutengwa. Mwambino si mtu wakuigwa, ni mtu wa kutengwa.”
The claims were not verifiable, and Diamond has yet to comment on the matter.
According to Tanzanian news outlets, Mwijaku and his wife Alicious Mcharo, popularly known as Alicious, are reportedly separated.
Reports from December 2025 indicate the couple had been experiencing marital problems, with Mwijaku confirming he had been away from home for around three months.
Alicious cited loss of trust and a desire for peace as reasons for leaving.
In a December 13, 2025 Instagram post, Alicious hinted that adultery allegations may have played a role in their separation, sharing a screenshot from Tanzania’s Law of Marriage Act regarding claims to damages over adultery, with the caption, “Remind yourself there is a law.”
Mwijaku’s fresh comments have since sparked varied reactions on social media.
Another Instagram user, Aziza, added, “Ndoa gani hii kategemea urafiki.”
