Famed rapper A$AP Rocky has finally spoken out about his rumoured feud with fellow rapper Drake, dismissing the speculation as largely overblown.
The ‘God’s plan’ hitmaker and Rihanna were romantically linked in the past, and today, Rocky and the Fenty Beauty mogul are parents to three children: sons RZA, three and a half, Riot, two, and daughter Rocki, born in September 2025.
Speaking to Apple Music host Ebro Darden, Rocky addressed the alleged beef, saying, “I do think that it’s petty. But is it real smoke? It could never.”
When asked if the feud might be a staged act, like professional wrestling to provoke fans, he added, “I think hip-hop tactics and beefs is, like, WWF. It’s like wrestling all the way, right? But this thing between us, it’s not real smoke.”
The rapper also acknowledged that he doesn’t really have a personal connection with Drake anymore.
The two award-winning artists have collaborated in the past, but their friendship cooled over time, partly due to both being romantically linked to Rihanna.
Rocky explained, “We were once friends. I feel like he wasn’t happy and he expressed that. And I think at some certain point when everybody gettin’ older and it’s just like, you’re supposed to be moving on. For you to still be pickin’ at a female and all that, that’s soft to me. I didn’t put out an album, I didn’t put out music for me to really say something back.”
Rihanna and Drake’s on-again, off-again relationship spanned nearly a decade, with Drake openly expressing his feelings for her at the 2016 MTV Music Awards and later sharing in 2018 on LeBron James’ show that he had once hoped to start a family with her.
Addressing speculation that his new album ‘Don’t Be Dumb’ and the track ‘Stole Ya Flow’ were aimed at Drake, Rocky said, “It ain’t just about one person. I’m talkin’ to whoever. Whoever feels like I’m talkin’ to ‘em.”
