It was a fusion of tradition, elegance, and political heavyweights as Oliver Siele and Brenda Soi celebrated their traditional engagement at the scenic Chepsetyon Farm in Kipchimchim, Ainamoi Constituency.

The event brought together two prominent families.

Oliver is the firstborn son of Ben Siele, CEO of AGC Tenwek Hospital, while Brenda is the firstborn daughter of Alfred Soi, Chairman of the Kipchimchim Group of Companies.

Fashion-wise, the ceremony was nothing short of impressive.

The groom looked dashing in a crisp all-white ensemble. His long-sleeved tunic featured stylish embroidery on the chest, paired with slim-fit trousers, classic dark leather shoes, and a white fedora that completed his sophisticated look.

Brenda, meanwhile, made a statement in a floor-length chocolate brown gown adorned with intricate golden embroidery and a standout 3D floral appliqué on her left shoulder.

The engagement embraced a chocolate and cream theme, mirrored in the venue décor and the well-coordinated attire of guests.

Alfred Soi, a prominent voice in Rift Valley politics, shared his joy on social media.

“It was heartwarming to see the love, prayers, and support that surrounded Brenda and Oliver as they stepped into this new chapter of life together. As a family, we are deeply grateful to everyone who came to make the day so memorable and extraordinary. Your presence, blessings, and encouragement mean so much, and we thank each and every one of you for celebrating this momentous occasion with us,” he said.

The ceremony attracted several political and social figures, including Senate Majority Leader Aaron Cheruiyot, Belgut MP Nelson Koech, Ainamoi MP Benjamin Langat, and former CS Charles Keter.

Senator Cheruiyot, dressed casually in a white shirt, jeans, and matching sneakers, also extended his congratulations on social media.

“Wishing the new couple nothing but joy that spills over, quiet moments that mean everything, exciting adventures, and steady love that grows deeper each waking day as they start off exciting family life ahead,” he wrote.

The day ultimately combined the richness of tradition with contemporary elegance, celebrating the union of two of the Rift Valley’s most influential families.

The Kipchimchim Group of Companies is a major Kenyan conglomerate that grew from a single retail kiosk in Kericho into a diverse portfolio of over 20 businesses.

Headquartered in Kericho, the group is a significant economic driver in the South Rift region, directly employing over 4,500 people and supporting tens of thousands of smallholder farmers.

Under Soi’s leadership, the group has become a household name through its extensive retail presence and deep roots in the local community. Its operations span several key sectors, most notably agriculture and retail.

The company is a powerhouse in the tea and sugar industries, operating six tea factories, including flagship facilities such as Kuresoi and Mbogo Valley, as well as the West Valley Sugar Mill.

Beyond manufacturing, the group runs the popular Kipchimatt Supermarket chain, with over 13 branches and several bakeries and restaurants.

Its footprint also extends into logistics, warehousing, construction, and mining.
