British rapper Central Cee has reportedly lost 12 years’ worth of valuables after thieves broke into his storage unit and stole a large portion of his trainer collection.
The 27-year-old artiste shared the news on Instagram, posting photos that showed the aftermath of the break-in, including several empty shoe boxes scattered across the floor.
According to Yahoo News, the rapper explained that the collection had taken more than a decade to build, making the loss both financially and emotionally significant.
“My (shoe) storage got robbed the other day,” Central Cee wrote, reminding fans that the trainers had been carefully curated over many years.
The revelation sparked an outpouring of sympathy from followers, though some questioned the timing of the disclosure.
Central Cee also revealed that one of the stolen pairs carried deep sentimental value, as it was tied to the early days of his music career.
“Had my first Nike ID Air Force 1 in there that I deetsed from Alboraaq in 2015 (crying face emoji),” he added.
Online debate intensified after the theft claims surfaced just as the rapper began promoting an upcoming sneaker collaboration.
Some fans speculated whether the timing was coincidental, particularly after Central Cee shifted focus to marketing a new release with his streetwear brand, Syna World, and sportswear giant Nike.
Despite the setback, he still urged fans to support the project, writing, “But everything is written, anyway, buy my shoe when it drops.”
The collaboration is expected to feature Nike Air Force 1 sneakers in blue and black colourways, with a spring release anticipated. It marks another milestone in Central Cee’s expanding influence beyond music and into streetwear culture.
Away from the reported theft, the rapper continues to enjoy major success. In 2025, he made history at the MOBO Awards after winning Best Male Act, tying Stormzy with seven wins.
He has also been nominated for Best Male and Best Album for Can’t Rush Greatness, with the ceremony set for March.
Born Oakley Caesar-Su, Central Cee remains focused on upcoming releases and brand ventures despite the reported loss.
