Fans have been speculating about a possible split between rapper Cardi B and NFL star Stefon Diggs, but the award winning artiste has now addressed the chatter head-on.
In a viral video seen by TNX Africa, the ‘Bodak Yellow’ hitmaker told fans during a performance, “Just because I ain’t indulging with my baby daddy, doesn’t mean you get to talk about my baby daddy!”
The 33-year-old was performing in Los Angeles as part of her ‘Little Miss Drama’ tour, which kicked off on February 11.
According to E! News, the remarks appeared to be a response to fellow rapper Bia, who had taken to X after watching a clip of Cardi performing “Pretty & Petty.”
Bia wrote, “Can u name someone with more bms than receiving yards. I can! and I know that…,” seemingly referencing Diggs’ children with different women.
Rumours about Cardi and Diggs intensified after the couple were said to have gone their separate ways following the Super Bowl, although neither publicly confirmed a split.
The pair share a baby boy. The Be Careful rapper also has three children with her estranged husband, fellow rapper Offset.
After the game, Cardi and Diggs unfollowed each other on social media, further fuelling speculation.
Previously, Diggs had hinted at a possible proposal, saying getting an engagement ring for Cardi was “on the agenda.”
He joked that he wanted a wedding ring as much as he wanted a Super Bowl ring, adding, “I got to get mine first.”
Ahead of the championship game, Diggs praised Cardi for her unwavering support, describing her as “an amazing woman” and expressing gratitude for her presence in his life.
The Super Bowl clash saw the Seattle Seahawks defeat the New England Patriots 29 to 13 to clinch the title.
Social media users were divided over Cardi’s comments, with some defending her stance while others suggested certain matters should remain private.
